 Neil welcomed everyone and asked that the minutes of the GMGMA AGM for 2007 be approved as posted in the locker rooms and on the Web Site.  Moved by Bill Fediw and 2nd by Trudy Cribbs.  Carried.

 Neil read his report, which can be found on the Web Site, pointing out the various successes over the last few years. Brian Wright moved and Morley Greenman 2^nd that Neil’s report be accepted. Carried

 Treasurer’s report was circulated and Bob Cribbs called for any questions.  There being none, Jake Jakubowski moved and Bob Mills 2^nd the motion to approve the Treasurer’s report.  Carried

A report from Lindsay Funk the Junior Rep was given to the Secretary and will be available on the Web Site.

 Mary May the 2007 Ladies Captain read her report which can be found on the Web Site.  Moved by Pat Hook and 2^nd by Karen Smith, the report be accepted, Carried

Men’s Captain following the departure of Tom Doyle,  Bill Fediw read his report and it was moved by Brian Wright and 2^nd by Morley Greenman, Carried.  This report can also be found on the Web Site

The topic of movable stakes was brought up by Brian Wright and a short discussion took place.  It was suggested that the ‘course rule’ regarding immovable stakes be printed on any tournament forms and future score cards.

Another topic from Brian was the lack of names on a tee time ballot.  The format for filling out the ballots is on the Web Site and in future those ballots indicating prime time and  ‘guests’ will be put out later in the draw.

Brian was thanked by Neil for arranging the club’s weekly draw committee.  Brian has agreed to continue with this ‘job’ next season.

Pat Hook was asked and has agreed to be the auditor for the GMGMA 2009.
Morley Greenman conducted the election of the 2009 GMGMA Executive. The following are those who agreed to stand and as there were no further nominations from the floor, those named were elected by acclamation.

Vice President      Bob Cribbs

Treasurer             Morley Greenman

Secretary             Anni Jakubowski

The 2009 Ladies Captain, Gwen Fletcher, and Men’s 2009 Captain, Bill Fedew were invited to sit on the GMGMA board. 

Lindsay Funk will continue to work with the Juniors.

 Several suggestions and comments were made. 

1.        a new pathway between the 4^th and 5^th hole.

2.        Cocktail type party to open the season inviting the public

3.        More mixed tournament and perhaps a club social committee

4.        attention be made to the tee box on the 4^th hole

A member thanked the executive for the continued successes and questioned the origin of the letter included with the October Billing.

 There being no further business the call to adjourn was made by Morley Greenman and 2^nd by Bill Fediw.  6:30 P.M.

The theme was Italian with red and white check table cloths and various Italian touches.  Choices were Caesar Salad or Fresh Market Salad, Penne Pasta or Spaghetti, with Marinara, Clam or Alfredo Sauce Coffee or Tea served with a piece of Biscotti  was compliments of the GMGMA Executive.

This made for a very nice social event.
